It might seem like a wedding is hard enough to plan for the bride, but there are many other things a bride has to worry about besides that one day that is supposed to be the best day of her life. Besides the wedding, she has to think about the rehearsal dinner, the bachelorette and bachelor parties, the wedding shower, and maybe even a few more events where the parents and in laws meet each other before the big day. As you can imagine, these things might take a lot out of the bride and groom and they might not even make it to the big day without passing out because they were up stuffing the wedding favor boxes for the reception.
So if you are friends with either the bride or the groom, understand that these times are the most likely times that the bride and groom might get under each other's skins. It's not uncommon that couples split up because the wedding planning isn't going well. Lots of disagreements could arise and that means lots of fights might be in the near future. If you are the bride or groom, try to understand that the wedding is stressful for the both of you and if you guys can't get along during this process, it might not be a good idea to move forward. Since a party filled with all your closest friends and family is supposed to be about harmony, love, and wedding favors, then being in love should be a pre-requisite.
With that said, the bride does have a lot to do during the few months that she gets to plan her perfect wedding. The wedding shower is usually the job of the maid of honor, but sometimes the maid of honor isn't as committed to the cause as they portray on television shows. In reality, the bride usually has to do almost everything from planning the bachelorette party to buying her own wedding party favors. If the bride is lucky enough to have a great maid of honor, then she can relax and focus on the wedding itself, but most people are not this lucky. The important thing is to always remember why you are doing all of this. It's not to have the perfect party and for you to look perfect I your dress, it is so you can express your love to the person that means the most to you and nothing more. So if you can get past all the stress without fighting with each other, your lives will be a fantastic dream instead of an endless nightmare.
