The dress pictured on this page was the gown of her dreams. Gorgeous, off the shoulder, bouffant ... it was the "Cinderella" dress she'd always dreamed of wearing on her wedding day. The wedding was to take place in October 2006, but as sometimes happens, the wedding was cancelled. And now, though it breaks her heart, she has to sell her gorgeous ALFRED SUNG gown.
The skirt is a huge full ball gown that is 9 layers thick, with 5 layers on top, 1 layer of lining, and 3 more layers of tulle underneath, the innermost being lining AND tulle so your skin doesn't rub against the tulle. The outside layer of tulle is delicately adorned with silk flowers that flow over the entire skirt all the way down the back of the dress which can be seen in several of the pictures. Every flower has a pearl in its centre. The back of the dress flows into a train which extends out approximately 3/4 meter beyond where the dress reaches the floor.
The design is a one of a kind ALFRED SUNG couture style gown, with the bodice being a CORSET, lacing up in the FRONT, and a zipper in the back with the classic satin "button" look. What's ideal about the corset is that the lace up in the front, plus the 12 bones that lie throughout the bodice suck you in to make you look inches smaller. The bodice is lace covered SILK-SATIN that is adorned beautifully with hand beaded pearls, crystal beads, sequins, and GOLD SWAROVSKI crystals that were hand-sewn on to add a gentle gold look to the bodice. The Swarovski crystals are the ONLY alteration/addition to this gown and could be removed relatively easily if you do not like the 'gold' look.
READ WHAT THE VENDOR HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL WEDDING GOWN:
"The dress is a size 6, with its bust measuring 31/32 and the waist 28. However, my bust is 34/35 and my waist around 29 and it fit me perfectly. Usually I wear around a size 8 pant, and a small to medium top. The hips are free for the most part due to where the corset bodice ends. I am 5'6", and had planned to wear 3 inch heels with the dress which made it a near perfect length for not tripping over. Naturally, with most wedding dresses, this dress CAN be altered slightly to make it a perfect fit for you on your wedding day.
The only time I wore the gown was in a set of pictures that were taken in my SMOKE FREE home with my late grandma who passed away before what would've been the wedding date. We knew her prognosis and thought it would be best to capture us together on "my wedding day". So we staged the pictures and have some beautiful pictures of the two of dressed up - these are some of the pictures you see here.
The price of the gown when I bought it was $3750 plus taxes, and I am listing it at less than a third of that price to try and re-coup some of my losses. I have NOT had the dressed cleaned and boxed, as it is not soiled or dirty in anyway, and because dry cleaning tends to yellow dresses over time. This dress hasn't seen its "time" yet and I don't want to spoil it. The dress is in immaculate condition with NO defects, stains, or tears whatsoever.
I will consider all reasonable and serious "best offers", and all serious enquirers are welcome to come see the dress in person.
I am in HAMILTON, ONTARIO.
